City sign Tony Capaldi

The Northern Irish international started 122 league games for the Pilgrims scoring a dozen goals. He was their most capped international player.

Capaldi, according to Plymouth, is a cultured left back. He is 25.

Speaking to the official Cardiff City Website www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk Chairman Peter Ridsdale said

"The signing of Tony is an important one for the club. We had to be clever and move fast to secure his services and fought of some serious competition. We are very pleased that we have managed to make the first signing of our new summer programme."

Capaldi signs a three year deal. He was out of contract at Home Park and decided to move on. He was tracked by Sunderland in the January transfer window.
