City stay second as Oldham slip up in Division 2

The Latics blew their chance to go second in the table when they could only draw at home with Peterborough.

There is now a two way tie for 2nd place in Division 2. Cardiff and Oldham are on 50 points. Bristol City are 4th on 49 points while Crewe are 5th on 47 points. QPR are in the last play off spot with 40 points.

QPR beat Stockport 1 - 0 at Loftus Rd.

Next weeks opponents, Northampton, were beaten 5 - 0 at Sixfields by Wycombe. Swindon beat Chesterfield 3 - 0 and Colchester and Tranmere drew 2 - 2 at Layer Rd.

The top teams in Division 2 had mixed fortues in the FA Cup yesterday. Wigan lost at Stoke, Bristol City lost at Leicester while Crewe drew at Bournemouth.
