At the top Wigan beat Huddersfield 1 - 0 at the JJB and they are 4 points ahead of second placed City. Wigan have 50 points.

Bristol City had the chance to leap-frog City into 2nd place but they blew it, and nearly lost the game. A 96th minute equaliser has left them 1 point behind Cardiff.

Oldham closed the gap with a 1 - 0 win at Chesterfield. The Latics are 4 points behind 2nd placed City.

Crewe in 5th place are 5 points behind the Bluebirds after a 3 - 1 win at Swindon. Then there is an 8 point gap back to Brentford in 6th.

Intrestingly Brentford who occupy the last play off spot at the moment are nearer the relegation places then the automatic promotion spots. City are 13 points ahead of the Bees while the last relegation place occupied by Cheltenham is only 11 points below them.

QPR are 7th a whopping 15 points behind Cardiff. QPR and Brentford drew today.

It's tight at the bottm. Mansfield, Huddersfield and Peterborough all have 21 points. Cheltenham have 22. Only 6 points seperate the bottom half of the table.
