City stay top. Division 2 review.

Last updated : 02 November 2002 By Michael Morris
Bristol City will replay their home game against Notts County after todays clash was abandoned with the Magpies 1 goal up. It's a let off for Bristol City who now find themselves 4 points behind Cardiff with a game in hand.

Cardiff stay top thanks to todays win with Oldham staying second, 1 point behind City, thanks to their 2- 0 derby win over Stockport. Wigan move up a place to third after their 2 - 0 win at home to Crewe and they are 2 points behind Cardiff. Bristol City in 4th place are 4 points behind the leaders.

There is then a healthy gap to Q.P.R. in 5th place. The 'hoops' have 29 points, 8 (eight) adrift of the mighty Bluebirds.

6th placed Brentford made fools out of Blackpool. The Seasiders wore "Get me outta here quick" hats instead of the usual Golden Mile "Kiss me quick" hats as they fled from Griffin Park humiliated after being thumped 5 - 0.

City now look forward to next weeks game at Barnsley. Last Tuesday City beat bottom of the table Mansfield 1 - 0. Today we beat second bottom Peterborough 3 - 0, Barnsle are 4th bottom. Bring em on.

Todays results.
