At the top of the table there were wins for the top 4 - Norwich, WBA, Wigan and Ipswich.
The teams in 5th - 7th place Sheff Utd, West Ham and Sunderland were all in FA Cup action. The surprise package is Crystal Palace, they have come from nowhere to 8th place. They have won the last 5 games in a row scoring 19 goals. Well done to Ian Dowie who only took over the club 8 weeks ago.
At the bottom the fat lady has started to clear her throat at Wimbledon and Bradford. There was no game for the Dons but the Bantams lost again. Nottingham Forest closed the gap on Derby to 1 point after a 3 - 3 draw in Joe Kinnear's 1st game in charge. Derby lost at Wigan.
If you were realistic City look like finishing mid table unless we go on a Palace style run. The play offs are not impossible but we are not winning enough games. With Bradford and Wimbledon seeming to have booked the first two relagation spots it would take a dramtic collapse to see Cardiff take the 3rd drop space.
