Boss Dave Jones acknowledged that City making the Cup Final made them a big draw.
"Believe me it's going to be an unbelievable pre-season for us," he said. "We have only received this invitation for one reason - the FA Cup final this Saturday.
"Suddenly, Cardiff City have gone global. There is interest from all over the world and we will be playing against teams of the highest quality in the Algarve Cup."
It's likely City will play a traditional opening fixture at Merthyr Tydfil and there is talk of a pre season game against Chestown as well but none of these matches have been officially confirmed yet.
