City to wear armbands for Aberfan

Over the last two home games the Valley Rams have been rasing money on behalf of the Committee in Aberfan who are responsible for the upkeep of the memorials to the 144 people, 116 of them children, who were killed when a slag heap high above the village collapsed and avalanched down over the school and surrounding houses.

They have raised close to £3,000.

As a mark of respect Cardiff City will wear black armbands on Saturday out of respect to the people that died and those who still remember.
