City upto 4th as the top teams strike back

Last updated : 04 March 2009 By Michael Morris
The balance has been redressed somewhat this midweek with Wolves, Reading and Cardiff all winning. Birmingham, the team in 3rd are at home tonight against Bristol City.

Bristol are currently in 8th place but could jump over City into 4th if they win at St Andrews. They would have played 3 games more than City though. If Birmingham were to win that they would go 8 points clear of Cardiff having also played 3 games more. I think an ideal result tonight would be a draw, keeping Birmingham close enough and keeping Bristol City behind us.

Sheff Utd, who beat Birmingham on Sunday, are away tonight at Coventry. We'd like a home win in that game to keep Utd below us.

Matches tonight

Birmingham v Bristol City
Coventry v Sheff Utd
