City v Owls. Match preview

Last updated : 11 January 2008 By Michael Morris

City have already played several clubs twice this season but it's the first game v Sheff Weds and next week we face WBA for the first league game. A bit unusual to wait so long.

Anyway Cardiff are in good form, a corner has been turned and from the depression of Charlton away in November and the looming relegation battle we now find ourselves just 8 weeks later 3 points from the play offs. No time for complacency but we should now have some confidence and look to progress further. City have won their last three homes game in a row and in all competitions City have won four out of the last five games, including the 3 - 1 win at Chasetown last week.

Wednesday have won just once in the last 8 games but did earn a 2 - 2 draw against Premier League strugglers Derby County last week in the Cup. The Owl's sit just 1 point above the drop zone. They are 8 points behind Cardiff City.

Kick off at Ninian Park is at 3pm.

Team news to follow later.
