Claridge confirms Warner interest

Rumours of a possible move back to Millwall came to light in the Echo earlier this week.

Today Steve Claridge (the new Millwall boss) has confirmed he has made an enquiry for Warner.

"Tony Warner and Marlon King are two people who we have made enquiries about," Claridge told the Echo.

"I don't think it is about what we can offer them because we are much more reliant on their existing clubs for help. We are not expecting to be able to sign anyone without that help.

"We have made an enquiry and our position has been made very clear to everyone involved."

Warner is one of three senior keepers at Ninian Park and was due for meetings with Dave Jones to discuss his future.
