Gabbidon has been playing for the struggling Hammers this season after several years ravaged by injury.
His agent has given the cleareast indication yet that a move before the transfer window closes on Monday night at midnight could happen.
"At the moment Danny is concentrating on playing for West Ham," said his agent, Jamie Moralee, "But the only club that could take his eyes off that is Cardiff.
"West Ham are reluctant to let him go and they want to keep him. But Cardiff want him, Danny wants to go and we are interested in helping him make his dream come true."
Once agents start making these comments though you do wonder exactly who will benefit them most from such a deal. Surely a move to Cardiff will see a huge drop in wages for the former Welsh international?
