City have done all they can do this week, two wins, the first bck to back wins in several months and the pressure switches back to Crewe, Oldham and Bristol City.

The top of the table looks like this

Leaders Wigan taken on QPR at Loftus Rd. Do we still have a chance to catch Wigan? 10 points and we have to play them at Ninian Park. I suppose we must still have that ambition. I think I'd prefer to see a draw, that will keep QPR far enough behind us and stop Wigan going too far in front. Cardiff's next league game is at home v QPR on April 5th.

The more crucial battles are happening just below City. Crewe need a win to get second place back. They face a very difficult trip to Kenilworth Rd to play Luton. Lose or draw and City are second by at least a point and a game in hand.

City have opened up a six point gap on Oldham, they face a tricky game at relegation threatened Northampton. We have a 7 point lead over Bristol City, the Wurzels today are at Huddersfield, another team fighting for their lives.

QPR and Wigan play each other as mentioned above.

All the team trying to close on Cardiff face really tough games. Robert Earnshaw's winner last night, his 30th league goal this season could be one of the most important he's scored.

Cardiff do not play now for two weeks, all the other teams play twice, we must hope that Crewe drop points in their two games and that Oldham and Bristol also find goals difficult to comeby.

Next Saturday sees the challengers all at home with easier looking fixtures. Nothing City can do now but watch and wait for the pressure to take it's toll on the other teams.
