Coventry v Cardiff. Match preview

Bothroyd was withdrawn from the 0-0 FA Cup draw with Arsenal late on after complaining of a knee injury, but the Bluebirds are confident he will be fit to continue his partnership with Ross McCormack.

McCormack twice came close to knocking Arsene Wenger's side out of the Cup and rattled the crossbar with a late 30-yard free-kick.

Midfielder Paul Parry was a doubt to face the Gunners after picking up a knock in training, but came through 90 minutes unscathed and will be available to manager Dave Jones.

Peter Whittingham is set to be out for two to three weeks with a pulled hamstring, so Chris Burke will continue on the right wing.

Aron Gunnarsson and Elliott Ward face late fitness tests.

Gunnarsson suffered a hip injury during Saturday's narrow FA Cup win over non-league Torquay and had to be withdrawn at half-time.

His replacement, fellow defender Elliott, scored City's late winner, but only after having an injection in a knee injury which enabled him to play.

Sky Blues manager Chris Coleman has this week drafted in teenage midfielder Lee Sawyer on loan from Chelsea and he should be added to the squad.

Marcus Hall returned at right-back ag1ainst Torquay after recovering from his nasty nose injury and should keep his place.

Scott Dann (shoulder) and Isaac Osbourne (ankle) are still missing.
