Danny Coyne coming for Cardiff talks

The official Grimsby website confirnmed that Coyne was training with the Grimsby squad until lunchtime today and was then expected to travel to Cardiff for talks ahead of a possible transfer.

Danny Coyne is a highly rated keeper and is currently in the Wales squad behind Paul Jones and Mark Crossley.

Lennie has always said that any new keeper that signs will be second choice to Neil Alexander who has earned the right to be first choice this coming season. Danny Coyne would provide the stiffest of competition. With Lennie expecting to take the player for free and relieve the Grimsby wage bill it would appear a great chance to get a quality goalkeeper for just the cost of his wages.
