"The performance was totally unacceptable. It's one of the worst home performances since I have been here.

"I can't pick out one player who has done something in the game worthwhile and I can give credit.

"It's hard to swallow and I've told them in the dressing room.

"We gifted them the goals and I don't think Charlton had to play to their capabilities.

"We don't defend properly and fail to clear it twice. We didn't play anywhere near our capabilities and looked a completely different outfit from Saturday. All the hard work we've put in his gone out of the window.

"When things don't go for you, you have to make things happen and we have to be mentally tougher.

"We didn't have one shot of real note tonight and we didn't create enough opportunities.

"We have to pick ourselves up and it wasn't good enough.

"The whole performance was not acceptable. I'm the man in charge, so I'll accept the abuse at the end."

"This was a big victory for us after those two home defeats.

"I would have preferred to have won the two games at home in front of our fans but you've got to take your points where you can.

"I thought we produced a very good performance and looked very disciplined.

"We've got to be more patient at home. Maybe we're trying to win games before we get control of them.

"On Saturday, we gifted Burnley their three goals and you can't afford to do that at any level of football. But we looked a really good side here."
