Dave Jones and W.B.A.

There's been nothing official mentioned but Dave Jones, when asked, has never categorically said he would or wouldn't go.

Last week Darren Purse was asked about the link and he said

"He has been linked with the vacant post at West Brom, but that's not something he would talk to us about, unless it was a signed and sealed deal.

"I suppose every time a team does well, like we are, your manager's name is going to be linked with any jobs that are going.

"But as far as I can see, Dave is settled in Cardiff, he is doing a fantastic job here and he is enjoying it. So why would he want to leave? I would be very surprised if he did and I would be gutted as well."

Now over the weekend the Wales on Sunday say they believe that Jones is on a three man wanted list. Tony Mowbray and Alex McGleish the other two men but Jones is the top target.

The Daily Mirror this morning has gone one step further and said that W.B.A. have offerered the job to Jones and he has 72 hours to make up his mind.

Just how accurate this information is we don't know. Will Jones turn his back on the City when we sitting at the top of the table? Would he be welcome by the W.B.A. fans after he was manager at Wolves? Will Jason Koumas get to play again for Jones?

These are uncomfortable questions, I hope the matter is resolved quickly and positively for City. We have a huge game at Crystal Palce this Saturday. I want to see Dave Jones taking Cardiff further clear at the top of the table and not spending his weekend as a Baggie.
