Dave Jones favourite to take Fulham job

Jones' name has been previously linked with the role vacated by Roy Hodgson but Fulham had gone all out to get former Spurs boss Martin Jol from Ajax.

After a long weekend of will he / won't he Jol has today declined the Fulham job leaving it up for grabs.

Jones has now been made favourite ahead of names like Sven Goran Eriksson, Gianfranco Zola and Mark Hughes.

Would Jones leave? Would Cardiff City be better or worse of he did go?

I think, like any player, the manager would jump at the chance to be in the Premier League.

Whether you love or loathe him Jones, in my opinion is the best manager we've had in my lifetime. He can frustrate and I've been critical of him before but he's keeping us at a level we've not seen for decades. This could be a defining moment for our club could someone else come in and take us one step further or does Dave Jones need one more shot at getting us promoted?
