Dave Jones frustrated. Again

"We have to keep clean sheets it is as simple as that, we have to give ourselves something to build from," said Jones.

"The players have got to take more responsibility, it is very frustrating and annoying.

"We cannot keep playing that well and not come away with the result.

"What is happening to us is not because of what the opposition is doing to us, but what we are doing to ourselves. That is what annoys me.

"We totally dominated the game and really should have come away with the win.

"It is hard to have a go at the players when you look at the way we are playing," he continued.

"We created more than enough chances to get back into it. I felt the goal was going to come, but as things wore on we started snatching at chances.

"But I think we should have created more chances with the amount of possession we had.

"Sometimes we didn't take a shot when we should have. We were trying at times to walk it into the net.

"We've come here and rolled them over...but not done them.

"We gave Southampton the chance to hold onto something and, fair play to them, they defended very well, blocking shots and putting their bodies on the line.

"It's frustrating when we have the quality we have, but I believe we'll get bigger and stronger. We've got the right squad here."

"We did not play particularly well and we never really looked comfortable.

"There were a few performances that were not great, but we defended well and that is something we have not done all season.

"We have played a lot better and lost, but it is important to keep clean sheets.
