David Giles is latest to shout: Lennie must go

Giles, in his newspaper column on Monday was scathing over keeper Tony Warner.

"My first move would be to recall Neil Alexander," said Giles in his Echo coloumn. A change is needed because Warner was not far off appalling."

Today the manager is in the firing line.

"Lennie Lawrence said we should judge him after 12 games. Well, we've had 23 and we've only got 22 points," he tells todays Western Mail.

"That's not good enough and at any other club the manager would be picking up his P45 by now.

"Lennie has done a decent-ish job. He won promotion and that will always be on his cv. But he has served his time at Cardiff. The club needs someone fresh - and quickly. It's time to move on."

The full interview with Giles can be found here.

There seems little doubt amongst the fans that Lennie's tenure has gone on for long enough. A poll on this website is currently running with 91.4% wanting Lennie out. A Western Mail poll over the last couple of days resulted in 92% wanting Lennie out.

The anti Lennie support is now overwhelming. There are not many Lennie fans left.

City head to Yorkshire on the weekend. A midday kick off against Neil Warnock's Sheffield Utd. Another City defeat must surely spell the end for Lawrence. If he had any respect for this club he's walk rather than keep on taking it down. Even an unlikely win would only be papering over the cracks.
