D-Day, well Derby Day. Match preview

City hope to kick off the new year with points from todays encounter at Pride Park.

Kick off is at 12 noon with the club reporting sales of 674 tickets, not bad considering current form and such an early start after a late night.

Just a brief preview as I have less than 5 hours sleep to look forward to before an early train.

There will be a minutes silence at todays game for the victims of the Tsunami in the Indian Ocean. A shocking disaster.

City on the pitch could see a return for James Collins after his injury at Watford last Tuesday. Kavanagh will be back after suspension with Willie Boland out injured. If Collins is not fit then Robert Page will probably cover for him.

Cameron Jerome and Peter Thorne are expected to continue up front.

There will be full reactions after the game and don't forget it's back to Ninian Park on Monday for a 1pm kick off against Nottingham Forest.
