It's been further revealed today that Cardiff City's representatives at Wigan tonight, Steve Borley and Ken Choo, will watch the game from the away end at the DW Stadium.
Media reports earlier in the day suggested Vincent Tan had insisted that club officials would not be at Wigan but it now seems the two senior members of the Cardiff City contingent will watch with the fans.
The club confirmed to WalesOnline that two board members had ‘respectfully declined’ an invitation to be guests in the Latics boardroom at the DW Stadium.
Club sources have said Tan did not order directors to miss the Wigan game but board members wanted to show their support for the Malaysian businessman in the wake of comments made by Whelan and the ongoing FA investigation regarding Mackay, who is set to come up against his former club for the first time at the DW Stadium.
Chairman Mehmet Dalman was not due to attend this game anyway.
