If leaders Wigan fail to win at 4th place Oldham tomorrow in the 3:00pm game then City will go top with a win agianst Bristol City. A win then at Colchester next Friday for the Bluebirds could see them open up gap at the top. Two wins would be a nice Christmas present for City fans.

Wigan are currently top on 44 points, City second on 43, Bristol City are third on 41 with Oldham on 39 points in 4th place. Crewe are hanging in there in 5th place on 35 points but QPR in 6th have only 30 points. A massive 13 behind City.

The top of the table is really very competitive. Ideally this weekend a City win of course coupled with Wigan at best getting a draw would be very satisfactory. If Crewe could then slip up against Barnsley at Gresty Rd it would be even better.

QPR are away at Notts County.

When City kick off at 5.35pm all the other games will have taken place. We will know what we can achieve by beating the Reds.
