Early Tranmere preview

Last updated : 24 October 2002 By Michael Morris
Cardiff City will appear live on TV for the first time this season. Sky Sports will be televising the game on Sky Digital channel 404 (Sky Sports Extra) and repeating the game at midnight on Sky Sports 1.

For those unable to make the game or see it on TV then Gill will be in the chat room doing the commentary.

Early reports from todays press conference suggest that City have an unnamed played struggling to be fit for Saturday. That is set to be the only change if the player does not make it.

Lennie again re-iterated that there will be changes if the players fail on Saturday. Maxwell, Barker, Bowen and Hamilton were named as being ready to step in if called upon. Mark Bonner is a few games from being in contention.

Tranmere come to Ninian Park on the back of a 6 game run of away league defeats. They did win 5 - 0 at home in the LDV Vans Trophy in midweek but on the road they have been shocking.

City's last two SKY games have produced a 2 - 1 win over Leeds and a 5 - 1 win over Bristol Rovers, both in the FA Cup.

Don't forget kick off is at 5:35pm. We will know by then who we will play in the 2nd round of the LDV and in the first round of the FA Cup.

Remember the last time we were on Sky?
