Early Wigan preview

Striker Peter Thorne was not risked at Spurs after taking a knock at Ninian Park last Saturday. Thorne was the only omission from the squad and Andy Campbell stepped into the starting line up while Des Hamilton was on the bench.

Lennie said before the Spurs game he's rather not risk him in the Cup game but would prefer to save him for Saturday. I would imagine if Thorne is back then Campbell will drop back on the bench with Hamilton missing out on the 16.

Jason Bowen and Scott Young both came through yesterday's reserve team fixture and both could be in contention for a squad place against Wycombe if they manage another successful 90 mins in next weeks reserve clash at Ninian Park.

Wigan will be without striker Andy Liddell, the 29 year old is in the middle of a three match suspension. Former Wrexham striker Neil Roberts will take his place. The man to watch out for will be Nathan Ellington, "Duke" scored a hat trick for Wigan as they dumped W.B.A. out of the Worthington Cup last night.

There are still plenty of tickets on sale for Saturday's game. You have to be a season ticket holder or a member to be able to buy one from the Ninian Park ticket office. The match is all ticket for City fans.
