Neil Warnock says Neil Etheridge has a hamstring injury and could be out for a few weeks.
With City leading and Wigan having missed a penalty all was going well but Etheridge pulled up with an injury and had to be replaced by Joe Day.
City's No.1 was visibly upset as he made his way to the dressing room.
"It's a hamstring injury, so it'll be a few weeks I think," Warnock said.
City have five more League games and a Carabao Cup fixture before the end of August. It seems Etheridge is now a doubt for all of those fixtures.
