Fans fed up with Jones

Last updated : 08 November 2007 By Michael Morris
A straw poll on the messageboard voted on by well over 200 users want him out and soon. 51% want him to go now with a further 14% only willing to give him one more game.

The general all round loss of confidence in Jones was summed up by a friend of mine who flies to the UK for every game. Or at least he did.

"I will not go back to Ninian until he has gone and I don't care if his reign outlives me. I have given away my season tickets already until the new Year."

This is a man who lives offshore and spends more than just the bendy bus fare from the Grand Avenue to get to Ninian Park and goes to just about every away game as well.

"If he (Jones) goes my mate who will use them for friends will give me them back so I can welcome our new leader."

The vitriol against Jones is not helped when it appears he's in London as a guest of Peter Ridsdale for the Chairman's book launch about his times at Leeds Utd.

These are employees of Cardiff City and while Rome burns (look at the league table) our "leaders" are entertaining themselves in London.

Also at the launch, confirmed by Ridsdale himself on national radio on Wednesday afternoon, was Robbie Fowler. I'm sorry but after such a poor show against Crystal Palace Robbie Fowler should be in for extra training, not out on town just a couple of days ahead of a crucial away game.

Ridsdale, Jones, Fowler and the other Cardiff City employees attending the book launch deserve all the critisism they are going to get because their eyes have been taken off the ball. The fans who purchase season tickets and support the club expect something better than the dross being served up at the moment and to see CCFC staff supporting a book about Leeds Utd and its then chairman is not not right.

Who would have expected to have seen this on ebay?

You can be arrogant and stubborn when you are top of the league, not when you are at the bottom.
