Fee agreed for Earnshaw

Cardiff City have a agreed a fee with West Brom for Robert Earnshaw. Cardiff are refusing to comment further than that but the player missed City's game today and was said to be having a successful medical in the West Midlands.

Rumours of a fee of anything between £3m and £4m and player swaps etc are not confirmed.

The breaking news at 6.30pm is that Earnie is on his way back to Wales without actually signing yet. Unconfirmed rumours of a late bid from Everton may have something to do with that.

If he goes then for all you've done for Cardiff City, thank you. We wish you all the best in the Premiership.

Obviously more on this story as it breaks.

There are three further things I'd like to say

1. My heart is saddended that we are losing him. He is a City legend and where are we going to get another 20+ striker from?

2. My head says from a business point of view that it's a good deal. City get several million for a player that was brought through the ranks. Earnie gets to play in the Premiership, for him it's an oportunity he cannot afford to miss.

3. Sam Hammam will have some questions to answer after continually saying he will not sell him.
