Glenn Loovens has converted his loan deal into a permanent move to Welsh club Cardiff City. The 22-year-old defender has signed a three-year contract with the English Championship side, after completing a year on loan at Ninian Park. Loovens is a product of Feyenoord's Varkenoord youth academy. After graduating to the first team, the defender made 27 full appearances for the club. He ended up in Cardiff after loan spells at Excelsior and De Graafschap.

Loovens' transfer was confirmed by Dave Jones earlier this week but this is the first official statement saying the deal has been done.
