First team draw, U23's run riot as pre-season tour comes to an end

The final to games of the tour of Devon and Cornwall sees the first team draw 1 - 1 at Torquay and the U23's score eleven.

Almost 900 Cardiff fans made the trip to Plainmoor on Friday night to see the first team play out a 1 - 1 draw with Torquay Utd.

Josh Murphy gave the Bluebirds a first half lead but after lots of changes for the second half the home side levelled and held out against their Premier League guests.

Meanwhile the U23's were rampant at AFC Liskeard on Saturday with Anthony Pilkington leading the way with a hat trick, Lee Tomlin also scored and Rhys Healey picked up another strike.

Beween them the Cardiff City sides scored 44 goals in seven games on tour.

The first team move on to the East Midlands for a training camp at Champneys with games at Rotherham (Wednesday) and at Burton (next Saturday).
