Fleetwood set for surprise inclusion?

Lennie Lawrence is going for broke by dropping Alan Lee in favour of Stuart Fleetwood today. That' the view of the Western Mail this morning. They suggest there will be 5 changes for todays game. That would be harsh on Lee who is our top scorer and best player so far this season. Warner they say will keep his place.

Out goes Page, Boland, Robinson, Lee and Campbell. In to replace them are Barker, Parry, Bullock, Thorne and Fleetwood.

Lennie musn't think a Thorne / Lee partnership can work and is maybe seeing Stuart Fleetwood as a more natural replacement for Earnshaw.

"It needs a shake-up. I can't replace 11 players because I haven't got 11 replacements. But I've got four or five options," said Lawrence.

"The players are making all the right noises, but they've got to start producing on the pitch.

"They say they are in this together and I'm sure they mean that. But it's one thing saying it, it's another to transfer it onto the football pitch.

"Their spirit of togetherness has got to survive better than it has done when they do get setbacks during matches, whether it's down to poor refereeing or conceding the first goal."

Whether he makes 4 or 5 changes it will be the most radical and severe team shake up since Lennie came here. It's the actions of a man desperate to find a a winning formula.
