Forest Slump

Last updated : 28 September 2011 By Michael Morris

mclarenBurnley 5 - 1 Nottingham Forest. The pressure is on Forest manager Steve McClaren after seeing his side hammered at Turf Moor.

That wasn't the only shock during Tuesday night's fixtures. West Ham and Brighton, two teams just above Cardiff both lost at home. Albion to rivals Crystal Palace, West Ham to Ipswich - all to late goals.

Derby, the only other side above City to play on Tuesday drew at home to Barnsley.

Cardiff have the chance tonight to close the gap on opponents (and league leaders) Southampton to just three points.

Jon Parkin played 90 mins as Doncaster drew against Hull. Portsmouth striker Erik Huseklepp scored a 90th minute winner last Saturday, on Tuesday he scored a 90th minute o.g. to hand Peterborough victory at Fratton Park.

Bristol City managed to throw away a two goal lead to lose at home to Reading.
