Gary Medel helped Chile win the Copa America over Argentina on Saturday night. The game ended 0 - 0 after extra time with Chile winning on penalties.
The result meant that Wales are now ranked at 10 in the FIFA world rankings. A win during normal time for Chile would have taken them above Wales into that 10th place.
So an amazing achievement for both Medel and for Wales.
Medel played the full game and was booked in the first half for a challenge on Lionel Messi. Arsenal's Alexis Sánchez scored the winning penalty as Chile triumphed 4 - 1 in the shoot out.
Shame we never saw the best of Medel in a City shirt.
