Four teams in it. Says Willie Boland

He doesn't think that Ian Dowie's Oldham will keep up with the others.

"Our match against Bristol City is a massive, massive game. If we can win that we will be five points ahead - and that is huge at this stage of the season.

"It's important that we put out a good impression, a statement to other Second Division teams just as we did by winning 4-0 at Queens Park Rangers. We cannot underestimate Bristol City. They are flying and every Cardiff City player has to be on their game.

"I don't mean any disrespect to Oldham Athletic, who are right up there with the best right now, but I think Bristol City have an edge and will be in the promotion chase right to the end with Wigan Athletic, Crewe, who are a good passing team, and ourselves."

Willie of course has a massive personal game coming up. The visit of Coventry City to Ninian Park. He will think about that one after we play Swindon on New Years Day. City have 5 league games before the FA Cup third round tie. Home games v Bristol City, Huddersfield and Swindon. Away games at Colchester and Luton. If we are serious about winning this division we should be aiming for 15 points from 15.
