Scott told the South Wales Echo: "Peter Ridsdale wants Robbie to stay, Dave Jones wants Robbie to stay and Robbie wants Robbie to stay. So there you have it, there is a deal to be done.
"As for pay-as-you-play, well, he already has remuneration for appearances in his current contract, so that need not be a problem. But we have nothing concrete on the table yet and obviously that needs to happen before the situation can be moved forward.
"It's time for all parties concerned to sit down and work out a deal which is beneficial to everybody."
