FT West Ham 3 - 2 Cardiff City

whucupA game that looked all but over after 8 mins was transformed by Cardiff who came back from two goals down to nearly take the match to extra time.

Craig Noone on the stroke of half time and Peter Odemwingie with 14 mins to go cancelled out the two goals scored by Morrison and Jarvis in the opening 10 minutes.

But in the 88th minute Ricardo Vaz te won the game for West Ham and sent the Hammers through to the third round of the Capital One Cup.

For the second game in 48 hours Cardiff were beaten by a late goal but again positives can be taken as Cardiff took the game to West Ham in the second half. The comeback was impressive but ultimately we can't afford too many hard luck stories this season.

So for the rest of 2013 Cardiff can concentrate on the Premier League and next up is a fixture at Fulham this Saturday.

It's a game that Cardiff will need to be winning if they are to have serious ambitions of staying up. It's not going to be easy though after Fulham beat Everton this evening in the cup with goals from Berbatov and Darren Bent.

The mission continues and it's time for Cardiff to come away the victors and not be self congratulating ourselves on nearly doing something.
