Gabbidon going? Can we even think of stopping it

I think he should go.

Before you splutter into your cornflakes I speak as I think the player thinks.

Danny is 25, 26 next birthday, he's a current international but finds himself facing the abyss that will be League 1 next season.

I think this could be his last chance at making the step up and following Earnie into the Premiership. There will of course be uproar as there was with Robert but what can you do? If the player has the oportunity to better himself and at the same time make him probably a better player which will improve his international stature then what can stop him.

City's crime will not be allowing him to leave this January but failing to give him a team to play in that's challenging for honours this time around.

We all have ambition, Danny Gabbidon is no different, for the sake of the player and his international career I think he's best moving on. City picking up a few bob will be a bonus for the club (where that goes who knows).

For Cardiff City and my week to week football support I'll be devastated, as I was when Earnie went. We can't restrict the ambition though of our best players if we cannot provide a decent structure for them to play in.

Whether it's Everton, Newcastle or most likely Blackburn (with Mark Hughes' connections) then best of luck to Danny Gabbidon if we never see him in a City shirt again.

That's my thoughts. What do you think? Have we the right to halt his progress?
