Lennie Lawrence will not give any date as a target for Daniels return. The City boss says that he is progressing all the time but is not ready yet for action. In fact he hopes he will step up from light training to running during next week.
There is better news for Andy Campbell. It’s thought he, like Layton Maxwell, only has a stomach strain. Maxwell will resume training while Campbell could be out for only a couple of weeks rather than a month or more if he needed surgery.
Gareth Whalley is also recovering from his medial ligament damage and will be out for several more weeks yet.
