Gabbidon is set to keep his place at the heart of the Welsh defence in Wales' 3rd Euro 2004 qualifier in Baku on Wednesday afternoon at 3pm GMT.

Weekend injuries have robbed the squad of Robbie Savage, Andy Johnston and Mark Pembridge, Craig Bellamy has been refused by Newcastle to travel.

Mark Hughes will be delighted by Gabbidons fitness as he calls in late replacements as cover. Wigan's Neil Roberts and Swansea's James Thomas have been added to Earnie and Hartson as the forwards in the squad. And Readings midfielder Adrian Williams is also called in.
