Daniel Gabbidon
"It was nice to get on. I didn't expect to play in the match. I thought I would only get on if someone was injured and that's what happened."

"I felt good out there. I was a bit rusty at the start - the first free-kick I had to deal with went over my head. But after that I settled down. It was nice to get a few touches and also to keep a clean sheet."

"Coming on was fantastic. I didn't think I'd get half-an-hour. But when the manager said I was going on I was really excited and the reception I got from our fans was brilliant.

"I've been itching to play for five months. It was terrible watching the team play from the stands but there was nothing I could do about it.

"I've been waiting for this day for so long."

"I don't know if I'll play Sunday.

"We've got a reserve game against Wycombe and I might be involved in that because I need to get my fitness back."

"The last five months has been a nightmare for me. Ever since I came to Cardiff everything has gone right for me.

"Before I got injured I had just established myself in the Wales team and Cardiff were doing well in the league.

"Now I've got to work myself back into the Wales team and also the Cardiff one.

"I've learned a lot because of the injury. It has taught me to enjoy football more because you never know what's around the corner.

"It has also made me a stronger person. When you play for a long time you can fall into a comfort zone. The injury has given me a wake-up call.

"It feels like fate coming back from injury now. We've got six games left in which to win promotion and I just want to help the lads out.

"We need to play well and win all those games. With me coming back along with Gareth Whalley and Andy Campbell it will give the team a boost. It will be like having three new signings."

Peter Thorne
"It was a killer blow on Saturday getting beat, so we needed to make sure we came here and gave ourselves an early lead.

"We did that and then we took the game to them. And now we've got Gabbidon, things are looking a bit better for us."

On his relationship with Robert Earnshaw

"It's a partnership, and I think he appreciates I've had a hand in a few of his goals. I love to see him scoring."

"He set me up for the first goal and I thought the team worked very hard.

"We've been threatening to beat a couple of teams by a decent score. It was about time we did.

"When I scored the first goal I thought we'd score a few, but to go in at half-time still 1-0 was a little disappointing.

"We were giving the ball away too much in the first half. But once Alan Mahon got the second goal we were cruising.

"We needed to get a really good result and to get the four goals makes a big difference because we go to the next game on a really confident note."

Lawrie Sanchez

"They were terrific, (the Wycombe fans). I asked them to get behind the team and that's exactly what they did.

"It showed what real fans do when their team is going through a tough patch and the players and myself really appreciated their efforts.

"We now go to Tranmere on Saturday and having seen that performance I've no worries about how the team will stand up."

Lennie Lawrence
"I think the score flattered us. What you saw in the second half, especially once the second goal went in, was some quality finishing and obviously a much more relaxed team.

"The passing was iffy and indifferent in the first half, but in the second half the whole thing just got better and once Mahon had scored the second it could have been any score.

"We had a bit of luck at the other end - they hit the bar at 2-0 - but we haven't had too much luck lately.

"It was deserved and a resounding win. Four goals and a clean sheet were helpful."
