Mark Bonner has been forced to retire from playing football after shattering his forearm. The arm is being held together by a plate and pins and Bonner has been told he could suffer permanent disability if he were to injure it again.

'I have been in the game for 16 years and I can look back on quite a lot of happy memories,' Bonner told the club's official website.

'When I went back to see the surgeon for my last check-up he told me that it was better that I didn't play again.

' If I fell on my arm I could end up with a permanent disability and I could find myself in the position of not being able to use it again.'
