Gray training with City

By the end of the week we will have one or two more in," Jones said after City's win over Bristol City.

"I will keep hounding the chairman to strengthen the squad and we are close to adding to the squad."

It appears that former loan player Julian Gray is training with the City. Gray signed for Birmingham in 2004 6 months after his loan spell at Cardiff from Crystal Palace ended. He spent 3 years at St Andrews starting just 38 league games.

In 2007 he signed for Coventry but only started 23 league games in 18 months. After a loan spell with Fulham in which he played no league games he made a permanent move. In the 12 months he's been involved with Fulham he's started 1 FA Cup game and had two subs appearances.

Aged 29, Gray, in the last 13 years since starting as a trainee with Arsenal, he's started only 166 league games. 100 of those played prior to Summer 2004.

Another player with Crystal Palace links is Ben Watson. There have been rumours around over the last couple of days that Watson, who Palace sold to Wigan last January, could also be a City target.
