The managers

C:WindowsTempphp1975.tmpNuno: "We made too many mistakes for a team that wants to be strong. I will never change the way that we play. If you want to build something you cannot for one minute have a doubt about what you have been doing.

"Cardiff, it was clear the gameplan they had, to be aggressive, don't let our players have the freedom and creativity we've been showing.

"What makes you strong is how your get up from the big punches that you get. We have to be mentally strong to deal with this kind of provocation. We have to be physically strong."

Neil Warnock: "Our fans get carried away, they are in cuckoo land at times because they haven't seen this for a while. So let's enjoy it, I am going to."

"It was a cracking game, a typical Championship match. Two sides really having a go at each other. We didn't come to defend, we came to attack as much as we could really. Obviously we had to have a plan because Wolves have steamrollered every team they have played so far. I thought it worked well and I thought we shaded it, chances-wise.

"I was very, very pleased today as there were some really good performances. To have that kick in the teeth of conceding the equaliser and then to come back and play some good stuff, probably enjoy our best spell, showed what we are about.

“It’s a great crowd here (at Molineux) and you can see how much they love me here! But I revel in that and it spurs me on if anything.

“I don’t think I’ve ever been a banker. I think that’s what they were calling me.

“I said to one of the young [Wolves] lads Saturday morning as I came out for an autograph ‘You’ll be going home disappointed tonight son, won’t you?’

“Then another guy, a big mouth, shouted to me ‘Warnock, you’ve no chance today’ and I said ‘Well you come see me afterwards when I’m getting on the bus will you son?’

“I bet he wasn’t there.”
