Referee: Howard Webb. Assistants: M Mullarkey, D Cann. Fourth Official: S Attwell.

Webb's decision making came under scrutiny after several incidents during the game at The Emirates last Sunday.

The Daily Mirror's John Cross wrote:

Blundering Howard Webb will not be demoted, despite his high-profile errors in the FA Cup last weekend.

Webb didn't give LIverpool a second blatant penalty and also failed to give Steven Gerrard a second yellow card that would have seen him sent off.

The conspiracy theorists believe that no action was taken against Webb because he is officiating in the World Cup this summer.

The 42 year old former policeman has already officiated a World Cup final. He issued 14 yellow cards in the 2010 final in South Africa between Holland and Spain.

He was the man who took charge of Cardiff City's 2003 Millennium Stadium play off final victory over QPR.

A month ago Webb sent off Hull City's Tom Huddlestone in a 1 - 0 defeat for the Tigers at Norwich. He also sent off Andy Carroll for spoiling Chico Flores' pontytail at West Ham a couple of weeks ago.
