Huckerby in demand

Last updated : 16 December 2003 By Michael Morris
Darren Huckerby could yet return to Norwich City. The man that tore City apart last Saturday played his last game on loan for Norwich who it was said could not afford him.

Now though Man City have accepted a bid of around £750,000 from Norwich for the player. In another twist Man City have also accepted a similar bid from WBA for the same player. There was also talk that Wigan were interested in him.

Now it gets complicated. Wigan wanted to buy Huckerby with money raised from selling their current striker Geoff Horsfield to WBA. (How many strikers do WBA want?). If WBA get Huckerby will they still want Horsfield? and will Wigan want to let Horsfield go without a replacement.

Whatever happens we are certain to face Mr Huckerby again this season.
