Hull City v Cardiff City. Match preview

Last updated : 16 December 2006 By Michael Morris
On paper Cardiff travel North east as favourites. Don't expect this to be an easy ride though.

Both sodes are struggling for form with neither side achieving a win in their last 5 games.

Cardiff have the luxury of being near the top of the table while Hull are one bad result away from propping up the division.

There will be a huge home crowd at the KC Stadium tomorrow after the Chairman decided to sell all tickets for a fiver and to hand out hundreds of free tickets to schools in the area. Cardiff will counter that with 400 or so travelling fans who will be subjected to a rendevouz point near the Humber Bridge to collect their match tickets.

City could welcome Steve Thompson back into the starting line up and there could be a strat for Willo Flood in midfield.

Hull caretaker boss Phil Brown will be without striker Jon Parkin (ankle), midfielder John Welsh (shin) and defender Sam Collins (knee).

Striker Michael Bridge is in contention after a back injury, along with Nicky Forster and Steve McPhee.
