Hull close gap as Bluebirds pay the penalties

I hope I never have to go there again. I've seen us throw away leads in my last three visits there. A great trip there on the train, lovely lunch and drinks followed by a dreadful 90 mins of football.

There were bonus points on offer yesterday after Watford's draw and Palace's defeat on Friday but City couldn't build on a half time lead courtesy of a scrappy goal from Aron Gunnarsson.

Instead we saw a second half where Cardiff struggled to take any control and goal mouth action was at a premium.

Into the last 20 mins and Peterborough won a penalty and seven minutes later a second penalty. Both scored by Grant McCann with Marshall going the wrong way twice.

From my vantage point it was hard to say if they were warranted but Malky was unimpressed judging by his post match comments.

Now tomorrow's home game with Blackburn becomes more important. Victory should see City on their way to promotion, anything less gives Watford a huge boost as they play Hull on Tuesday and Cardiff on Saturday.

I'd hope to see a far more positive City performance on Monday. This division is there for the taking. Let's go grab it and not be left to sweat on the results of others.
