Hull v Cardiff. Match preview

Last updated : 03 December 2005 By Michael Morris
City visit the KC Stadium this weekend with hopes high that we can stay in the top 6. A win will keep City in the play off places and could mean a move upto 5th if Luton lose at leaders Reading.

Hull are not in the best of form at home, they have only won twice in 10 attempts this season scoring just 9 goals. 5 matches have been drawn. The Tigers sit in 18th place. 1 point above the drop zone.

City welcome back Darren Purse to the squad after his suspension. He is expected to be the only change to the starting line up with Neil Cox dropping to the bench.

City have taken youngster Curtis McDonald on the trip.

'Curtis has been doing well for the reserves and in training,' said Dave Jones. 'He isn't quite ready to be thrown straight in, but this trip will give him the benefit of finding out more about the first team. He has a full place in the squad and has earned his chance.'

Hull City will be without keeper Boaz Myhill after he was sent off against QPR last week. Hull appealed the red card for handling outside the area but the appeal failed and he misses the game v the Bluebirds. Matt Duke will step in after coming off the bench last week. That was Duke's fiurst appearance for Hull this season after playing three times on loan for Stockport.

Kick off is at 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
