Iain Moody, mysteriously sacked by Cardiff earlier this month, is set for a new role at Derby County.

Moody, it's believed, will become Director of Football at Pride Park.

Derby manager Steve McLaren said: ’My remit was to come in and be in charge of football matters and build a football club and I am in the process of that.

‘’I cannot do it on my own and we need help.

‘’Myself and (chief executive) Sam Rush have sat down and talked about getting together a good recruitment department’’

Moody's departure from Cardiff a couple of weeks ago, to be replaced by a 23 year old unknown with barely any football experience, rocked Cardiff and threatened to see Malky Mackay leave his role.
