Should be back
Gabbidon missed out on Wales' 2 - 0 win in Azerbaijan with a bad back, he has been having treatment on it daily and is hopeful he will be able to play on Sunday.

Robert Earnshaw is also facing a fitness test, he was caught on the calf while helping the Welsh defeat the Azerri but seems certain to be fit on Sunday.

No such problems for Rhys Weston, who played the last 20 mins for Wales, Neil Alexander, who did not see action in Portugal with Scotland and James Collins who played the last minutes of Wales' historic U21 win on Tuesday. They are all fit and ready for selection.

City welcome back Willie Boland from his one match suspention.

With 3 games in 6 days coming up I think we will see our strongest team playing on Sunday probably Alexander, Weston, Prior, Gabbidon, Croft, Maxwell, Boland, Kavanagh, Legg, Thorne, Earnshaw. Subs from Margetson, Barker, Hamilton, Collins, Bowen, Leo FW, Campbell, Bonner.

Against Tranmere in the cup I can see Margetson, Collins, Barker, Bowen, Bonner, Hamilton, Leo and Campbell all getting a game. Some of the Sunday players may get a second run out but more likely, as against Exeter, we will have 5 first teamers on the bench to come in if needed.

City will then revert to a full strength team for the trip to Loftus Rd in 7 days time.

There's no word yet from CCFC as to the possible line ups.
