Ipswich in for Chopra, Rangers for Ledley

The inevitable rumour mill has now crancked into life with the Daily Mirror claiming that Ipswich have tabled a £3m bid for Michael Chopra. City's man of the match at Wembley on Saturday has already been bought by Roy Keane before. Sunderland, under Keane, paid £5m for Chopra a couple of seasons ago before the striker ended up back at Cardiff.

Sources of mine from Ireland have confirmed that Kean is dead keen on Chopra.

The Scottish media are sugesting that Joe Ledley is a target for Rangers. With Champions League football on offer they feel they could temp Joe North of the border. West Ham and Fulham are two other sides linked with moves for Ledley and there still may be an interest from Stoke who saw a £6m bid turned down before.

Joe is now out of contract so City will rely on compensation, because of his age, if he moves to another club rather than a transfer fee. That rule doesn't apply though if he moves abroad and in footballing terms Scotland is abroad.
